Centre for Learning Technology

London School of Economics & Political Science.
«The Centre for Learning Technology (CLT) started life as the Learning and Teaching Technology Group (LTTG), a joint initiative by the Teaching and Learning Development Office (TLDO, now the TLC), IT Services and the LSE Library.
The LTTG was formed in late 1999, and initial exploratory work was carried out on a single Information Systems postgraduate course and on the TLDO teacher training programme. We started providing a learning technology support service to LSE teaching staff for the Michaelmas (autumn) term of 2000. The aim of this development was to explore methods of providing added value to existing, traditionally taught courses at LSE. The LTTG support team at this stage consisted of two 'Learning Technology Specialists' and a half-time assistant librarian who specialised in learning technology.»
