Resumen:   This book is based on the theoretical framework of the textual cohesion of the famous English linguist Michael A.K. Halliday. It starts with two major aspects of grammar and vocabulary, and conducts a comparatively systematic synchronic discussion on how to connect English and Chinese texts. From the characteristics of the language system itself and the cultural context in which the two languages are located, a deeper analysis is made of the reasons for similarities and differences. Therefore, there is a certain degree of importance in promoting English-Chinese comparison studies, English teaching, and English-Chinese translation. [Source: Bases on publisher’s introduction]
