Resumen:   This special issue of Linguistica Antverpiensia, New Series (LANS) – Themes in Translation Studies aims to connect to the ongoing surge of interest in the field and at the same time to contribute to developments in this sphere of the discipline of specialised translation. The intention is to track recent developments in Legal Translation Studies triggered by new methodologies and recent developments in theoretical models and approaches and to test the explanatory power and potential of such approaches to uncover the nature of legal translation.
