Indian Journal of Comparative Literature and Translation Studies is an International Peer reviewed journal. Since, Comparative Literature as a discipline is rather new to India and as there are very few journals of Comparative Literature and Translation Studies in India, our Journal has been introduced to this prestigious line of e-journals in the hope to bring forth Comparative Literature and Translation Studies, to a larger realm of academia, as two very rich yet undiscovered disciplines of study. There are no journals of Translation Studies in India except the ‘Translation Today' of National Translation Mission.
Through our journal we hope to bridge the gaps in time – dismiss the limited scope of publishing articles in the afore mentioned areas of study. Our thrust areas of the journal are, Indian Bhasha literature, Theories of Comparative Literature and Translation Studies, Surveys on Translation, Interviews and book reviews on Translation of Indian Bhasha literatures into English, Indian Writing in English , Historiography, World Literature (s), Folk and Tribal literature – among many other areas of literary interests. Our editorial board and advisory committee would like to include members across the world from various fields of Literature, Culture and Translation Studies. We do not believe in commercialization of any kind when it comes to academic publication and completely base our belief in quality research and publishing. [Source: Editors]
