The thesis studies a focus on supporting students' interpreting self-training after class with the use of computer and network technologies. Powerful computer assisted interpreter self-training practice needs special theory framework aimed at this type of learning environment, with the base of the study including self-regulated learning theory, the cognitive load theory, the humanism psychology, the constructivist learning theory and SLA multimedia design theory. The theory framework consists of learners, learning resources/tasks, tools, evaluation, learning strategies, environment and teachers. Secondly, the study proposes some methods of computer assisted interpreter self-training based on the theoretical framework. Finally the study carries out two quasi-experimental experiments verifying the effectiveness of the principles. The environment is confirmed to promote learners interpreting skill and help manage learners' self-training effectively. [Source: Author]
