Resumen:   This doctoral thesis contains the presentation of the results concerning a research in the area of religious sensitive texts. The research had dual purpose: to present an overview of the history of Bible transmission and Bible translation world and in Brazil, and to hightlight, from a comparative analysis of previously selected biblical passages, the doctrinal ideology brands that can be observed within the first complete Brazilian translations of the Bible, made by different Judeo-Christian religious groups present in Brazil. As far as the first purpose is concerned, our research has assumed the following premise: since the Bible is one of the podium of the most translated books in the world, the Academy needs more papers regarding the history of the transmission and translation of the Bible, especially in Brazil. The second purpose stems from the first, since it is related to the current plurality of Bible translations and to the fact that there are a number of religious groups that elaborate their dogmatic basis from the Bible. No one can deny that such religious groups have significant interpretative differences to each other on a number of topics that are dealt with in this sensitive text. Therefore, it is not surprising that it happens to the translations of the Bible something that always seems to have followed the translational activity to some extent, that is: when faced with certain passages of the source text that conflict with their doctrinal ideology points of view, the translators are encourage to make adjustments in very specific points of these passages, so that the uncomfortable implications are deleted from the target text.
