Resumen:   At a tertiary or university level, formal courses in technical and scientific translation aim at instructing translators specialized in both particular areas. There exists a widespread agreement regarding contents and methodology during the lower levels; however, when it comes to approaching specialized subjects, in particular technical and scientific, those in charge of the teaching-learning process are faced with different questions that make teaching decisions difficult. In the first place, this work will introduce some of the key issues to reflect upon at the time of designing a teaching proposal. Several and specific questions will arise therefrom; resulting answers show a line of thought which is focused on achieving the initial objective. In the second place, we'll put forward a pedagogic and teaching proposal already put into practice in translating classrooms. Its outstanding characteristic is its dual approach: a set of teaching strategies to enrich students' theoretical and practical knowledge to facilitate their integration into the professional market by a cooperative mediation of both the educational institution and other professionals from different areas.
