Resumen:   The present study had its origin in the reading of the correspondence of Charles Baudelaire. In fact, the portrait found in the letters do not correspond to the image of the poet who had until then, shocking, especially, with the essay "A arte de Baudelaire" of the renowned translator of the Flores do Mal: Ivan Junqueira. Thus, in order not to be translated to Portuguese that correspondence, on the one hand, we propose a translation commented from a selection of letters, on the other, we investigated the claims of Junqueira, Sartre's influence, who propagated the myth (or the legend) around Baudelaire, above all, the revolt with the marriage of his mother with Colonel Aupick and the Oedipus Complex. Our translation had backed in the reflections of Haroldo de Campos and Antoine Berman, mainly, in the care of the expression, the freight forwarding of words, with the proposal, via the Mallarme`s writing, valuing the suggestion, the enigma, lastly, the power of language at the expense of absolute hegemony of sense. Such a microscope, the violation of the syntax in Mallarmé made seeing the expression that Baudelaire invented, much more discreet, but no less important. This selection is composed of 95 letters, mostly in the period between 1832-1842, from childhood to his return of Bourbon, to examine the relations of the poet with his family, closing them in their context bourgeois in the 19th century. This thesis is composed not only of the exercise challenging the translation of letters, but also the analysis of a Bauledaire's tradition who reached the United States without an in-depth reflection based on the match. This version seeks to discuss another Baudelaire, revealed in the reading of his epistles. [Source: KAFC]
