Resumen:   The discovering of the creative process has crossed the genres and the arts boundaries and the paths taken to arrive to the final product have open larger analysis possibilities for its investigation. Current researches in Genetics Criticism show that the artistic creation involves procedures that are besides handwriting texts. Every work of art can be considered a rewriting and this rewriting demonstrates the own development as a work of art because every text in every genre demands a route, many times, detailed, until it gets its conclusion. Thus, this research aims investigating the film creative process through the analysis of elements that constitute a movie and process documents used in the movie production: the filmed script, provided by the film director's device and the DVD which contains the making of, excluded scenes, interviews, etc. As the script is a written text which will be transmuted to the audiovisual language in its essence, the director/scripter must choose the best word, the best dialog, the most adequate actor for respective character, the most interesting characters to work in the story, the best beginning/end, the best music to emphasize the central story, or rather, a permanent decisions pergormance. We can declare that the film production is a collective art because it depends on the simultaneous performance of several artists and professionals. Because of this, the investigations about the cinema language (camera movements, frameworks, angulations), actors' performance, soundtrack, symbology and image texts, to name some of them, also influence and (re)create the film, making a part of its genesis. To accomplish this research it will be done a study about the transmutation from the literary language to the film language. As the paper corpus we will use the film Primo Basílio (2007), directed by Daniel Filho and scripted by Euclydes Marinho. The referred film was transmuted from Eça de Queirós novel. From the dialogue among the genetics criticism, cinema theory and intersemiotic translation theory it will be possible to investigate the route followed for the film to arrive to the spectator. With this study we show that not only the process physical documents, but also digital documents, the critic reading of images and resources used in the cinema production can show great part of this path and say a lot about the author/director.
